Network Emulation/Simulation Testbed
We have set of 17 machines located downtown at the Union Station facility which we use for network emulation and simulation.
- 7 Sun v60x nodes w/dual ig E PCI cards connected via a Gig E mesh
- 16 Sun v60x nodes (NetScale01 through NetScale16) - computation via Condor

- Webserver - Sun v210 - Netscale.cse.nd.edu
- Two Sun X2100 servers acting as storage repositories w/1.5 TB each
- One for the Lockdown project, one for our NFS repositories
- Each running Solaris 10 x86 with ZFS
- Sun Ray server - Sun v440
Custom Machines
- Sun M20 workstation with a GeForce 8800 card for investigating GPU performance
- Playstation 3 - Cell processor assessment
- Cheap Logger - Sun workstation with 6x Mac Minis each with 1 TB firewire drives
- 6x Mac Minis configured for security (LockDown project) or wireless reliability assessments (Mad WiFi driver)
- Workstation with an Intel IXP 2350 for IXP development (Opportunistic Wireless Broadcast)
