Example Grants
One of the more difficult aspects for new faculty can be learning to apply for funding. The purpose of placing some of my successful and unsuccessful grants on-line and their respective feedback is to give visitors insight into the process itself and to remove some of the "black box" aspects. The NSF grant process is quite remarkable and I hope that the various examples are helpful, especially with regards to applying for CAREER grants and other items. The downside is that grant quality will improve overall but maybe if an NSF program director sees this, they'll send some funding my way if that is the case.
As time allows, I would like to continue to gather successful grants to form sort of a miniature repository of successful grants (as well as unsuccessful ones as those can also be instructive). The only caveat with regards to the underlying information is that appropriate credit must be given to the writer of the respective grant, i.e. don't plagiarize but feel free to borrow stylistic tricks or approaches.
