Computer System Design - Homework 1

Purpose

Make sure that your Wiki logon works and that you can successfully edit items on the Edu wiki site

Homework - 20 points

1. Log on to the Wiki using your given username / password which will be in the form of FirstnameLastname and the password given during the first day of lecture.
2. Go to the TWiki documentation (left side) and read the beginning tutorial on how to edit Wiki documents.
3. Create a stub article under this one using the naming convention of CSDS08HW1Striegel which is a concatenation of the course name abbreviation, the assignment, and the name for the document (in this case the last name of the creator).
4. Populate the newly created document with a top-line header (1st level) and your name / e-mail
5. Create multiple second / third level headers with a bulleted list and numbered list. The bulleted list should contain the programming languages you have experience with followed by a sub-level containing the level of experience you have with that language (professional, coursework, etc.). The numbered list will contain 3-5 topics that you would like to learn about as part of the course.
6. Create another second level header and create a table containing a list of the current CSE courses that you are taking this semester. The table should contain the course number, the course title, the course instructor, and a link to the course website.
7. Attach two items to the stub, a text document (Word, PDF, or text file) and an image (PNG, JPG, BMP, etc.). Try to keep the image size within reason. If the attach operation is too slow, cancel (stop on the browser bar) and click attach again.
8. Create another second level header and embed the image directly into the document at an appropriate size.
9. Create a link to your attached text document.
10. Create another second level header and embed a small snippet of code from any previous class as a fixed size block (verbatim text).
